Linda Calise grew up listening to the wonderful sounds of the American Songbook and pop music.  There was always music playing on the stereo growing up in her familiies home.  Songs performed by Tony Bennett, Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, The Carpentars, The Beatles and many, many more!  Linda enjoyed just sitting in her room listening to the music for hours at a time and learning each line and nuance of each song she loved to sing.

As a vocalist, Linda's style crosses the genre from Classic to R&B to Pop to Soft Rock...but her passion for singing lies in the roots of the Classic American Songbook and Hollywood Musicals.  Her performance of a song comes from the bottom of her soul and exudes her passion for the great melodies and lyrics, putting her own spin on the songs that she chooses to sing.

Linda began her career performing in the Northeast and Canada with various R&B show bands.  Opening up for Chaka Kahn’s North American  “Feel For You” Tour with the Springfield-based band
New Star was an early career highlight.

In the early 1990’s, Calise studied voice in Boston  at the McClosky Institute for Voice where she honed her vocal ability.   She wrote and recorded songs with a producer affiliated with Maurice Star’s Production company, who was also recording at that time tracks for Mark Wahlberg’s hit album, Good Vibration.

Over the years, Miss Calise has performed at such venues as the Wang Theatre, Scullers Jazz Club, Something Jazz, Swing 46, Kitano Jazz Club in NYC, the Waldorf Astoria, and Foxwoods Casino just to name a few.  She has entertained dignitaries from the Boston area including the late Ted Kennedy, Mitt Romney, and Senator John Kerry.  Her experiences also extended to Musical Theatre, and she has  performed in various theatrical productions including the title role in “Peter Pan” at the Academy of Performing Arts in Orleans, MA.

Legendary actress Julie Harris, was in the audience at one of performances of Peter Pan and compared Linda's performance to that of her late friend Mary Martin. Fueled by her love of Broadway musicals, Calise produced her own cabaret style review featuring songs from the American Songbook and Broadway hits.   She has performed her Cabaret revue at various corporate and club venues from Boston to Washington, D.C.

In 2013 Linda was a featured vocalist in the off Broadway Cabaret Production of "Speakeasy Moderne" alongside Broadway Baby Gabrielle Ruiz (Evita), and "New York Housewives" Sonja Morgan".

A few years after losing her dear Mother to Cancer n 2009, Linda decided to record the song La Vie En Rose in tribute to her Mother...who was of French descent.   Recording  several cuts at WGBH Fraser Hall was a thrill...the title song of her CD, La Vie En Rose, features a lush string arrangement by Joe Carrier and a masterful solo by British Violinist Ben Powell.  The CD is a compilation of songs from the American Songbook with a French flair – a nod to her family’s French Canadian heritage.

The CD La Vie~My Life was released in June of 2015, several songs have already been featured on the “MusicAmerica” radio show hosted by the legendary Radio personality Ron Della Chiesa.  The Video remix of La Vie en Rose by filmaker Eric Latek was featured on the cover of Dailymotion.com.  La Vie~My Life  made it in the top 50 of the CMJ Jazz Charts and was aired on radio stations across the country to rave reviews.

Calise's latest CD Happy To Be Loving You  was released in March 2017 to rave review's... It is making waves in the European jazz market and was recently featured on Meridien FM Jazz in the UK.
